Bar Nuts of Italy

If you've ever been to an American bar, you'll usually notice some sort of salty peanut on the counter. In Italy, instead of nuts, most bars and cafés provide salty lupini beans to keep you thirsty. This snack provides great nutrients during a night out drinking wine.

How to Properly Eat Unpeeled Beans

When it comes to eating a lupini bean, there is no "correct" way to eat one but there is a prefered method. Although edible, most don't like the texture of the skin. Simply take a lupini bean with your fingers and tear the skin with your teeth. From there you can pop the seed directly into your mouth.
